The Fox River Valley Cat Club, Inc. has three objectives: to sponsor and
promote the welfare of all cats; to hold shows and promote interest and
knowledge of cats through this and other educational programs; and to
advance, in every way possible, the interest of owners, breeders and
fanciers of cats.
In short, we are owners, lovers, breeders, and friends of cats.
We meet monthly (except June) on the first Wednesday of the month. We currently meet in the lower level of the Menasha Public Library, in the Activity Room, 440 1st Street, Menasha, Wisconsin. Meetings begin with a social time at 7:00 PM. The business portion of the meeting begins at 7:30 PM. This gives our members a chance to socialize and renew friendships before the business meeting begins.
Major club activities include the organization of two cat shows every year. The first is a Household Pet only show, held in the spring. The second is an American Cat Fanciers’ Association scored Pedigree and Household Pet cat show. This show is held at the Tri-County Ice Arena in Neenah, Wisconsin, in September. Proceeds from the pedigree show go to local humane associations, cat rescues, the Morris Foundation, the University of Wisconsin Companion Animal Program and other cat-supporting organizations.
Though much meeting time is spent planning and preparing for our cat shows, we try to make sure we have meetings which develop our own skills and knowledge base through, for example, video tapes, lectures or tours of local facilities.
Fox River Cat Club, Inc. welcomes everyone who holds cats in high regard, whether you’re a cat owner or not. Contact any of the following for more information:
